The Gieseke & Devrient Group works with a single SAP system which has 2,000 users. VMS investigated the system's operational cost structure and carried out a Benchmark against Best Practise. Gieseke & Devrient thus obtained comprehensive transparency on the costs, use and quality of the system. VMS made recommendations on a further reduction in operational costs. The VMS Report was also able to demonstrate using figures that the per capita method of cost allocation as practised – and as used frequently in industry – did not correlate with actual use.
